December 5th, 2019 – Victoria, BC – The City of Highland Park, Illinois has chosen Book King’s Registration, Membership, Public Access and Point of Sale Modules.
Book King’s Registration, Membership, Public Access and Point of Sale Modules were recently purchased by the City of Highland Park in Illinois. Book King Software will allow the City’s staff and senior residents to easily and conveniently manage all of their recreational needs.
The City of Highland Park Recreation Department will move to cloud computing by implementing the Book King Recreation Management Software over the course of the next few months. Book King’s Registration, Membership, Public Access Website and Point of Sale Modules will provide the City of Highland Park with an advanced yet easy-to-use recreation management software system. This project will include an integration with Munis by Tyler Technologies, the City’s financial software.
With the implementation of Book King, the City of Highland Park can offer additional services and operate in one integrated system. The software will save time and money by allowing staff to focus less on tedious backend tasks and more on providing the City of Highland Park Senior Center with the best customer service possible. Book King’s web-based solution will provide the City of Highland Park with a centralized database accessible from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection. Highland Park Senior Center will enjoy improved communications by providing social media integration with the community and rich reports to inform all executives on key metrics pertaining to recreation management.
About the City of Highland Park
The Highland Park Senior Center is a Division of the City of Highland Park created in 1976 to meet the needs of the community’s senior population. The Division of Senior Services provides health, recreational, cultural, educational and counseling services to the City’s senior population. The division also serves as a resource and advocate in areas of importance to the well-being of the senior community, with primary attention given to transportation, housing and personal safety.
A private residence, built in 1929 by General Robert E. Wood, was purchased to serve as the site of the Senior Center. The building was renovated, providing a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The Senior Center is operated by the City of Highland Park’s Division of Senior Services.
