July 12th, 2021 – Victoria, BC – The Hamlet of Fort Resolution, Northwest Territories has chosen Book King’s Recreation Management Software by Pacific Tier Solutions based in Victoria, BC.
The Hamlet of Fort Resolution in the Northwest Territories of Canada has recently purchased Book King as their new Recreation Management Software solution. The Hamlet will be onboarding Book King’s Point of Sale, Registration and Scheduling Module along with an impressive new Public Access website.
With Book King Software, the community will have access to online facility calendars and be able to request bookings and register for programs online by creating an online account. In addition to offering conveniences for the community, Book King will prevent facility double bookings and conflicts while maximizing the Hamlet’s usage of their facilities. Roster management and reporting will provide the staff the ability to view class list details and make important decisions easily. In the back end of the software Book King will export a custom file with GL Codes for import into the municipality’s Sage financial system.
The Hamlet has a busy hockey arena, community hall and gym that offer activities to the community and surrounding area at reasonable rates. Soccer, Volleyball, Badminton and Floor hockey are offered regularly at the gymnasium. The community hall hosts a variety of events and activities and the ice rink and workout gym are also available to anyone in the community who is looking to keep fit and have fun.

The Hamlet of Fort Resolution is in the South Slave Region of the Northwest Territories, Canada. The community is situated at the mouth of the Slave River, on the shores of Great Slave Lake, and at the end of the Fort Resolution Highway (Highway 6). It is the headquarters of the Deninu Kųę́ First Nation, whose Chief is Louis Balsillie. It is the oldest community in the Northwest Territories, built in 1819, and was a key link in the fur trade’s water route north. Fort Resolution is designated as a National Historic Site of Canada as the oldest continuously occupied place in the Northwest Territories with origins in the fur trade and the principal fur trade post on Great Slave Lake.
