The Langdon Community Association Has Selected Book King As Their Recreation Software Provider

May 10th, 2021 – Victoria, BC – The Langdon Community Association has chosen Book King’s Facility Scheduling, Public Access and Point of Sale Modules.

Book King Software will provide Langdon Community Association with their Facility Scheduler, Point of Sale System, and a new Public Access Website. The association plans to use the Scheduling Module primarily for their baseball fields but will include other facilities within the community. Book King’s all in one capabilities for scheduling, POS invoicing and reporting will reduce staff workload and administrative overhead by streamlining the facility scheduling business processes, preventing double or conflict bookings of facilities, and increasing the overall level of service the town provides.

This project will have the Book King Software Team and the Langdon Community Association working together to implement the application to meet their facility scheduling requirements. As a hosted solution, Book King is fast and easy to implement as IT resources are not required for installation and maintenance. Users can be up and running within days.

“We are excited to add the Langdon Community Association to our growing list of customers in Alberta. Over thirty municipalities use Book King Software for Recreation Management in the region and we are still growing with our reputation as a trusted software provider.” says Greg Strong, Sales Manager at Pacific Tier Solutions.

About the Langdon Community Association

With a population of almost five thousand residents, Langdon has become one of the fastest growing communities in southern Alberta. Langdon is situated 24 kilometers east of Calgary on highway 560 (Glenmore trail) and highway 797.

Langdon is home to a variety of amenities which includes a 1908 themed row of small shops complete with a wooden boardwalk, restaurants, two schools, a new grocery store, as well as a large community park containing a skate park, ball diamonds, and a new playground. Langdon is also home to Boulder Creek golf course, a 6963 yard, par 72, 18 hole golf course located in the estate community of Boulder Creek.

Today, Langdon still resembles days gone by with the 1908 themed main street that houses many of our everyday shops including a Post Office, Dental and Medical offices, and a restaurant. The annual Langdon Days three day event held in July has continued on with the community tradition since its inauguration in 1945. Today’s version of this event consists of a variety of fun activities for everyone. The Langdon Community Association, along with many corporate sponsors and community volunteers host a parade, slo-pitch tournament, children’s festival, a vendors village, silent auction, car show & shine and an evening of live music.
