Town Of Bentley Implements Book King Software

July 31st, 2020 – Victoria, BC – The Town of Bentley, Alberta has chosen Book King’s Recreation Management Software by Pacific Tier Solutions based in Victoria, BC.

Book King’s Scheduling and Public Access Modules were recently selected by the Town of Bentley’s Recreation Department in Alberta. Book King Software was chosen by the town because of the rave reviews provided to them from other municipalities and the relationship that Book King has with the company that provides them their Muniware Financial Software.

The Town of Bentley Recreation Department will move to cloud computing by implementing the Book King Recreation Software in the coming weeks via remote elearning training sessions. Book King’s Scheduling and Public Access Website Modules will provide the Town with a proven and affordable recreation management software system to help them manage their various outdoor and indoor facilities efficiently.

With the implementation of Book King, the Town of Bentley can offer additional services and manage bookable spaces currently not covered in their manual process. Book King’s web-based solution provides the Town of Bentley with an accessible database available from any computer with an internet connection. This allows staff working in office as well as those working from home to work together on the implementation as well as the management of their spaces going forward. This creates a flexible work environment that has become increasingly important for many businesses in 2020.

“We are pleased to empower another Alberta community with our Parks and Recreation Management Software.” says Greg Strong, Sales Director at Pacific Tier Solutions. “Our commitment to client success has given us a reputation that communities can rely on for proven technology and the best in customer service.

About the Town of Bentley

Bentley, originally called Oxford, is a town in central, Alberta, Canada within Lacombe County. It is located on Highway 12, approximately 28 km (17 mi) northwest of Red Deer. It was named in honour of George Bentley, an early homesteader.  The first settlers came from the U.S. in 1888-1890 and either walked or drove oxen from Lacombe, which was the closest railroad station at that time. The first church was built in 1890 by the Methodists, and a schoolhouse was built in 1903. Bentley was incorporated as a village on March 17, 1915. A disastrous fire destroyed all buildings on the south side of the community in 1916. The centre roadway was made 36 metres (118 ft) wide and new buildings could not be constructed inside that area. In 1930, a centre boulevard was constructed for fire protection and street lights installed.
